5 Ways To Revival

So many of us have seen Revival in a very small way, we felt it, a move, a staggering effect in crowded or uncrowded meetings, many souls been saved, a life transformed, and an overwhelming presence of God in saturation; but some of us have seen a very big level of revival(s), some even read about it, watched it, heard about it so much that we long for the mighty move of God in our time!

So What then is revival?

Revival is gotten from the word revive, which means bringing back to life, restoring or renewing – a new release of life, love, power, and spirit of God. Plants droop but at the inflow of water they come back to life, people faint but when helped, they come back to life. Churches and believers also faint and needs to be brought back to life (there are levels of revival).

1. A Pang of Hunger And Thirst For Revival. Psalm. 42, Luke 6:21

A true revival is not staged and it’s not cheap.

The psalmist described a deer that was in great desperation for water – Read psalm.42 verses 1&2. This should be our heartbeat in desiring Jesus our Lord. This should be accompanied by prayer and fasting to cleanse our body, soul and spirit.

2. A Confession For A Need For Revival. Psalm. 85, 2 Chr. 7:14

Many are without Christ Jesus and have lost hope in this world, they are out there and revival is the only way for them.

Churches today are carnal, worldliness has eaten deep, there is no more truth, the word of God has been diluted, which lacks the spiritual power for revival.

Revival is a personal need that we must constantly emphasize in prayer.

One real secret of revival is prayer, has there ever been a revival without prayer?

Urgent, fervent and passionate prayers are made, these form the foundation through which the pillar of revival stands on. Take a look at the Pentecostal movement, welsh Revival, Moravian Revival e.t.c still affecting all over the world today.

But we are times too weak to pray, prayer is not only a means to receive from God but also a means of been transformed by the supernatural. So when we are persistent in prayer the uncommon things that we seek will be manifested.

3. A Possible Mind.

The fact that there was a move of revival in the past shows that revival is coming again. God is the same yesterday today and forevermore, through this, His kingdom is established here on earth. Many don’t believe in the possibility of a revival in this age, they are self-satisfied, worldly and pessimistic. But God promised and has proved it in time past that it is possible. Check. Read Jer. 33:3, Joel 2:28

4. A Ready Vessel for Channeling.

A ready channel is the one who has clean hands and a pure heart (Read psalm. 24:4-5). A ready heart is not one who has unforgiveness against someone or persons. A ready vessel is a person who is saying Lord, I surrender all, here I am send me!

The will of God is to send revival, but he requires a vessel through which he could channel His move. ( Read John 7:38-39).

Then, if true revival is to come, we are to be a prepared vessel and a channel through which it flows.

5. Removal of all Hindrances or Blockages. (Read Mat.19:20-23).

This implies a constant walking and in total agreement with God without turning back. Amos3:3.

The greatest obstacle to revival is Sin! Are you living in Sin? Are you in right standing with GOD? Face it now! If its a besetting sin deal with it Now before it deals with you.

God can not use a sinning and unrepentant vessel for a revival!
